ProFundCom, the leader in digital and email marketing for the finance sector, has been announced as the corporate sponsor for the 2016 Rob Roy Challenge. The gruelling event sees competitors running and cycling through spectacular Highland scenery in aid of charity.
Organised by the Martin Currie Charitable Foundation, the Rob Roy Challenge takes place each year, with hundreds of hardy souls braving the terrain and the elements in aid of charity. The challenge consists of a run or hike along the 16-mile Rob Roy Way from Pitlochry to Kenmore, followed by an equally arduous cycle ride. The 2016 event is scheduled for Saturday, June 18th.
The Rob Roy Challenge combines with the Rob Roy Festival, which features bands, DJs, bars, discos, BBQs and more, to create a fun-filled weekend dedicated to charity fundraising. It is one of Scotland’s most successful charity events, raising almost £3 million over the past decade.
The 2016 event is supporting Mercy Ships – the charity behind the Africa Mercy, the world’s largest non-governmental hospital ship. Staffed by doctors, nurses, dentists and other volunteers, the Africa Mercy docks in countries across the world to help the neediest people on earth through free surgery and healthcare.
