ProFundCom Product & Service Notification 28th March 2025

As a user of the ProFundCom platform, we want to notify you that it has undergone some changes. We will send these notifications every time the platform is updated.

Drag & Drop Page Width
Impact: Medium
Sections: Templates
Description: The Drag & Drop editor has always been limited to a page width of 570 pixels. This was an industry standard which took into account the monitor sizes of the time and the fact that most users tend to read emails with their inbox on the left and the email content on the right. Increasing the page width would likely lead to some users needing to scroll left and right to see your content which would immediately kill their engagement. As technology has improved since we released the Drag & Drop editor, affordable monitors are being released with much larger resolutions and this 570px width is less of a hard limit to readability, so we have released an update which will allow the page width to be set to larger values.

 Usage

If the feature has been activated for your instance, at the top of the page you will see a button displaying the current width.

Clicking this button will allow you to enter a new width. The editor will take a couple of seconds to reload (preserving the current content, adjusted for the new width) and then you can continue editing the document. The chosen width is saved along with the document so if you save it and edit again, the new width will be preserved.

We can also set a default width if you want to use it for all new templates going forward.

Limitations

  • The adjustable width will only be available on newly-created templates – templates created before the update will not be able to have their document width changed and the button will not be visible. It’s possible to switch old templates over to the new layout but this requires a manual edit – let us know if you want this enabled on an old template. Alternatively, you can just replicate the old template yourself with the ‘replicate’ button on the templates screen – the copy this creates will use the new layout and will have the feature enabled.
  • If you use user-blocks, you will find they will not adjust to fit the new width – this is because the width is hardcoded into them when they are created. If you wish to have a wider user-block, you will need to create and save a new one with the editor set to the appropriate width.
  • You may find that using the editor with smaller monitors or wide documents that the edges get hidden behind the editor menus – you can make the editing pane wider by clicking the arrow in the top-right to hide the right-hand menu stack.

Event Ticket Availability Messages
Impact: Medium
Sections: Event Manager
Description: On the event page, in the registration section, attendees can choose which ticket type they wish to register, with a dropdown to choose the number of tickets. If the ticket type is not available, a message is shown instead of the dropdown.

Possible reasons could be:
• The ticket has been paused
• The ticket has sold out – a maximum number has been set, and no more tickets are available
• A date range has been set for the tickets to be available, and the minimum date is in the future
• A date range has been set for the tickets to be available, and the maximum date is in the past

Below are the default messages which are shown in each case:

With the latest update, these messages can now be customised, in the ‘Order Form’ tab of the Event Customise screen.
If they are left unchanged then the default messages will be used. To edit them, just change the wording then click the Save button.

A few optional mailmerge fields are available – you can use any of the keywords used in the ‘registration text options’ set in the ‘General’ tab. To use them, place the appropriate keyword in square brackets. For example, if the Registration Text Option is set to RSVP then the text ‘[noun]’ in the message will be replaced with ‘RSVP’ on the event page. This is useful if you later change the option, you don’t have to manually edit the messages.

You can also use ‘[ticket]’ which will be replaced with the ticket type’s title.

You can preview what the messages will look like with the mailmerge fields resolved by clicking ‘View’ which will toggle between editing and previewing.
