ProFundCom Product & Service Notification 28th March 2026

As a user of the ProFundCom platform, we want to notify you that it has undergone some changes. We will send these notifications every time the platform is updated.

Instant Calendar Invites
Impact: Medium
Sections: Event Manager
Description: The Event Manager will now attach Instant Calendar Invites to emails which have a Calendar Link added to the email content.

What is an Instant Calendar Invite?

Previously, to let recipients add your event to their calendars, you needed to add a Calendar Link somewhere in the email. When recipients clicked this, it would download a small file which when opened, would bring up the calendar entry they could then add. This could be clunky, and required their calendar application to be associated with .ics files.

Instant Calendar Invites, rather than needing to be downloaded, are attached to the email itself. Compatible email clients can read the event details from the file and offer single-click options to add it to calendars

Gmail

Gmail users will see a panel at the top of the email, with an Add To Calendar button.

Outlook

Outlook users will see the attached file at the top of the email, which will be named ‘Add To Your Calendar’ or ‘Update Your Calendar’ depending on whether they’ve previously been sent an email with this event’s calendar file. They can either right click or open the dropdown to see an Add To Calendar option, or they can click it to open a new window that has the Add To Calendar option.

Options within the Event Manager

In the Template settings, there is an option toggle them for a given template. The options are:

  • Only attach if a Calendar Link is present – The default setting; if you have included a calendar link within the email body, an Instant Calendar file will also be attached to the email.
  • Attach an Instant Calendar file – this allows an Instant Calendar file to be attached even when a Calendar link is not present in the email body
  • Do not attach – this will disable Instant Calendar files for this email. Calendar links within the email body will still function as normal.

If you decide you do not want to include Instant Calendar Invites, you can turn them off for an event in the Event Customise screen, in the ‘General’ tab. There is also a similar option in the Organiser settings, which will disable them for any newly created events.

Ability to define gradient colours in Templates
Impact: Medium
Sections: Template Manager
Description: We’re pleased to introduce a new enhancement to our theming engine, giving you greater flexibility and precision when defining brand colours across your communications.

This allows you to define custom gradient palettes independently from your standard theme colours.

Supports up to 10 HEX colour values
Similar to theme colours, but fully independent—so you can create more dynamic or brand-specific gradients.

Custom lightness control (new)
You can now define up to 5 lightness values using percentages (e.g. 90%, 75%, etc.).

These override the default gradient lightness levels:

90%, 75%, 50%, 35%, 20%

Relative lightness adjustments

You can also use R values to apply relative shifts in lightness (from +100% to -100%) rather than fixed values.

This gives you far more control when working with darker or lighter base palettes without manually recalculating each shade.

Default Behaviour

If theme_colours_gradient is left blank (default), the system will continue to use the standard gradient logic.
