ProFundCom Product & Service Notification 30th May 2020
As a user of the ProFundCom platform, we want to notify you that there have been some changes to the platform. We will be sending these notifications every time there are updates to the platform.
Spelling and Grammar Checking
Impact: Medium Section: Platform Description: With the latest update, the Drag & Drop editor now has an integrated spelling and grammar checker.
As you type, you’ll find the text highlighted automatically in different colours.
Red for a spelling error
Blue for a grammatical error
Yellow for a readability issue
Hovering the mouse over the highlighted words will bring up a menu showing the error and offering a number of alternatives.
You can select an alternative, or click the ‘i’ icon for more information, or choose to add the word to your instance’s dictionary (useful for unrecognised Brand-specific words). Each instance of ProFundCom shares a common dictionary so any additions will be immediately available to your colleagues as well.
You can also highlight and double-click a word to bring up a list of synonyms.
It’s possible to change the language used for the spellcheck, either for individual text-boxes or for the whole template.
Clicking the spellcheck icon on the toolbar will bring up a window with tabs showing the current language setting and the current additions to the dictionary
You can select a different language and choose to either apply it to the current active text-box or to the whole template.
The template-wide setting is also available at the bottom of the grey menu on the right of the editor.
If you do not want spell-checking you can disable it by choosing ‘None (disable spellchecking)’ from the dropdown list.
You can also enable and disable spell-checking from the Template list, using the setting in the burger menu to the right of each template:
The default language is set to English (United Kingdom). If you wish to change this for your instance, please raise a support ticket.
