What does your company do?
ProFundCom provides sales people the confidence to make calls to people interested in their funds. With more than 150 users across 17 countries. We have offices in London, New York and Singapore.

What does your job entail?
As the Managing Director, it is all about making sure the right people are in the right roles and that we have a message that our sales team and sell with. As the founder of the business, I am watchful over the product invovation and client satisfaction.

What trends do you see in the market?
Sales people have to work harder to sell their funds. There is a huge push to make the sales process more efficient through investments in technology like CRM and better marketing. There however no way to quantify this unless you are using a system like ProFundCom.

What do you do to unwind?
Golf and Cricket.

Who is the most influential person in your business life? Why?
Alan Hamilton, ex MD of Actuate and now CEO of Equipos. He pulled me aside one day and called me an under-achiever. He got me out of my comfort zone. We are now best-of-friends.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Seeing my technology making a difference to clients and staff.

What is your favorite book? Why?
The Heart of Success. Because it focuses the mind on the human condition that we all need to feel loved.

What was your first car?
VW Beetle 1303S Silver. LHD US Edition.

What is the last gadget you bought?
iPhone FM charger for my car.

What is your favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere with the family. New Delhi and San Francisco.

What is your favorite TV show?
Never mind the Buzzcocks. People not taking themselves too seriously.

What keeps you awake at night?
Are we doing right for the next generation.

If you weren’t a technologist, what would you do?
Gardner. It feeds my nuturing instinct.

What is your favorite sports team?
The Audi LeMans Team – everything that is great about German engineering.
